Man reveals staggering amount it cost to eat at โ€˜worldโ€™s loneliest restaurantโ€™ thatโ€™s three metres underwater

The Michelin-star restaurant has even been compared to Mark Mylodโ€™s movie The Menu

One man has taken it upon himself to eat at the โ€˜worldโ€™s loneliest restaurantโ€™ and document his experience.

A lot of us might classify ourselves asย foodies, but this content creator has brought a whole new meaning to the term.

Harrison Webbย is aย YouTuberย with over 818,000 subscribers that shares his unique food experiences with fans, such as โ€˜Visiting the most expensive grocery store inย Londonโ€™ and comparing โ€˜$7 vs $115 English Breakfastโ€™.

But now, he has taken it upon himself to go through a one-of-a-kind dining experience in a video titled โ€˜Visiting the Worldโ€™s Loneliest Restaurantโ€™.

Theย Britย flew to Norway before renting aย carย and driving for five hours to a pier, where he would board a ferry to the secluded restaurant called Iris in Rosendal.

Itโ€™s a lot of effort for a video, you have to say.

He provided some context of how exclusive the โ€˜The Sommelierโ€™s Expeditionโ€™ experience at the restaurant was, explaining that it would cost 17,500 NOK, or ยฃ1,242, for a five to six hour dining event at the Michelin-star establishment.

Webb also noted that he and his mate/camera man were the first English people to visit the experience.

Firstly, they went down some steps in the building to watch a video and eat three feet below the surface, as fancy chips and dip were handed out.

After that, they made their way to the top of the dome, and while Webb took the non-alcoholic pairing, his friend picked the alcohol option, as they were served some organic food on peculiar plates.

Everything served to them was within 500 feet of the restaurant too, which is located in the middle of a lake.

Providing him with a holder for his bag while also doing the standard actions of pulling the chair out and folding the napkin, Webb was impressed.

On top of all of this, the duo were treated to views of the surrounding mountains and waterfalls in the distance, all while floating on a Norwegian lake.

Reflecting on the experience, he called the dessert โ€˜unbelievableโ€™, noting that he had โ€˜never had anything like that in my lifeโ€™.

Webb even rated one of the main dishes an impressive 9.8/10, enjoying the experience.

Comparing the restaurant to one in theย filmย The Menu, Webb admitted that the food lived up to the hype.

Thatโ€™s another once-in-a-lifetime experience for him then, but would you want to go through this dining experience too?
